Natural Selection Proposal

This is a purely satirical essay based off Jonathan Smith’s “A Modest Proposal.”
Proposal of Bringing Back Natural Selection
From before man was man, through tribes, empires, kingdoms, and clans, and continuing through the eras of what is now history, our survival had been dependent on the harsh reality of natural selection. When souls are held in weak bodies that cannot sustain themselves, they die resulting in only the stronger genes surviving and reproducing. That was the process that occurred up until this modern era in human development. Individuals with more advanced minds, such as Louis Pasteur, Edward Jenner, and Alexander Fleming, the men who discovered the germ, created vaccines, and antibiotics, helped to advance the human race into super beings who can survive most of anything.
Yes, this sounds like a positive human development. The infant mortality rate has been cut into just a tiny fraction of what it had been two-hundred years ago, but what does this mean for the future of man? Does it mean that we have millions of strong children born to the human race? Not at all. This means that negative genes, which previously would have died out, are being passed down to these children from their parents, causing limitations to the human race. Our earth is overpopulated and it’s only time until these negative genes are too widespread and take down our species as a whole.
Being nurtured is necessary, but only for an infant and his desire for his mother's milk and warmth. There comes a point where the brain must make decisions for itself. The young bird must be pushed out of the nest and be left to explore the world. By this point of development, a child has already survived past the point of having physical deformities that would have put an end to his survival. Now it comes to the point of decision making and logic. Should a child jump into a fast flowing river, he will drown. Shall he approach a furious bear in the forest, he will be mauled. If a child possesses proper logic combined with decision making, he shall survive to adulthood. In the modern era, governments provide simple ways to eliminate this process of natural selection and survival of the fittest. One of which is requiring cars to slow to as low as fifteen miles per hour in some states while driving near schools that have released their students to proceed to walk home. This way, if a child steps in front of a moving car, it will have a velocity slow enough to stop before coming in contact with the child who had lacked simple logic in making his decision to step into a street with large moving vehicles.
For the wellbeing of our offspring and successors of ourselves, I propose we work together to end school zones for all of the fifty states of America and the ten provinces of Canada. These are two of the more developed countries in the world and other developed countries will not hesitate to follow our footsteps. Something as simple as ending school zones is a small step into bringing back natural selection into our civilized and developed urban world. Shall we eliminate the children who lack logical decision making, we prevent them from breeding and producing offspring who will carry similar traits. Overall, with time, this will be a small step towards creating a stronger, more intelligent future species.
Perhaps one day we can proceed with this process of eliminating contaminated organisms of poor logic and decision making by eliminating traffic signals, speed limits, and other laws that protect incapable individuals from harming themselves. This is something that we can slowly introduce to communities in different worldly regions with the purpose of cleansing the human race of incompetent individuals. As cold as this proposal may sound, the only purpose of this is to benefit our species by taking a step back into nature, where we originate. Life is a cruel process and there is nothing we can do to change that. If we do not begin this process soon, Darwinism will catch up to us and take down our species, ridding the Earth of us forever.
